Founders are often celebrated for producing ideas. The strongest ones I know are defined by how carefully they edit them.
Taste is a system
Taste is not decoration or instinct alone. It is a repeatable standard for deciding what deserves attention and what dilutes the whole.
The founder sets this standard through a thousand small choices: which customer request to ignore, which sentence stays on the homepage, and when a product is simple enough to ship.
Build an editing cadence
Create regular moments where the question is not “what else?” but “what no longer earns its place?” A monthly subtraction review can be more valuable than another planning workshop.
